Chloe's November Calender

Presenting .... Chloe's calender photo shoot for November : ) .. I love this idea. Ashley Ann of Under the Sycamore blog did this with her youngest in black and whites. I set out to do the same.. granted a few months late and in color.
A couple of months ago I found this desk calender at The Paper Source and I love it. I use it to document Chloe's growth simply one month apart. Unfortunately I have only October and November so far, but I'm so glad. Last month she was barely sitting up for her photo shoot and this month she's just about ready to take off crawling. I've taken so many pictures in the time between that it's easy to lost track of how much happens in those flying 30 days. I love the simplicity of a few minutes documented exactly 30 days apart.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday.  Brittny and Jon celebrate on Thursday with Jon's family.  So it is funner to wait a day and celebrate than to make them choose or split their time.  Our day was lovely.  Travis was able to be home which made it extra special.  We got out the good china (we only do this once a year.  It is a lot of work to hand wash all those dishes, but it was fun to be fancy.)  I am truely thankful for my family and that even though most of them are grown up, they like to hang out together.

Bailey set the table.

It was lovely.

I love cranberry sauce!

    Grateful!

My Little Lady

I (Brittny) have this picture of my Chloe on my desk... my heart melts every time I see it. It brings me such joy, yet it is the only picture of her that I've printed.. and I have over one thousand photos (on our Rebel alone!) It's a crazy world we live in today with iphoto and facebook and emails.. I remember how exciting it used to be, arriving at Walgreens to pick up the mystery photoes (with doubles). I'm glad we can share so much in so little time with people we could not or would not otherwise share. I'm glad that it's easy to share a lot or just a few, and I'm glad that I have to take time to filter to find the gems. : ) I really don't know where I'm going with all of this but to say that it's alright that this is the first picture that I've printed...and I'm excited to find some more special moments to share the old fashioned way.
I am finally getting our pillowcase dresses sent off.  I follow the Ashley Ann Blog and was inspired to make pillowcase dresses and send them off to Little Dresses for Africa.  A wonderful organization that sends dresses and hope to little girls in Africa.
I invited friends and family to come join the fun.  They could help sew or design the dresses.  I was a lot of fun.  My daughter Bailey did most of the sewing.  I can't wait for the girls to receive their new dresses!

testing

I am testing our blog by posting from an email directly into our
blog. If this works, this is great!

Trying again

We are starting over.  We started a blog on a different blog host and it was difficult to get it to look how we wanted it to so we found one a bit more user friendly.  We found we weren't posting very often, because it was too time consuming.  So hopefully this blog will allow us the ease of posting quickly.  So... we may be reposting things that were already posted on our old blog, but stay with us.  We will add fresh and fun posts soon!
